Market Report 9.11.21

 

The NZ sharemarket clawed its way higher today with a boost from a bounce back by four leading stocks. These were F&P Healthcare coming up 69c to $32.29, Mainfreight nudging 20c higher at $90, EBOS putting on 34c to $36.45, Ryman Healthcare up 21c to $14.70.  Retailers moved higher as Auckland starts to slowly resume business, Briscoe gaining 15c to $6.90 and Warehouse Group up 9c at $4.09. Skycity gained 10c at $3.25 and EROAD rose 123c at $5.20.

Synlait shed 9c to $3.37, Sky Network eased by 8c to $1.80 and Vector fell 7c.  Kathmandu eased a cent to $1.56 on its update setting out a downgraded earnings forecast due to Covid store closure impacts on sales.

The NZX50 gained 49.25 at 13,090.58. Earlier, the Dow Jones gained 104.27 to 36,432.22 on Wall Street
